THE OPPORTUNITY
What if the future of women’s athletics could be different?
FIERCE Athlete Inc. is building a movement of current and former female athletes, coaches, mentors, and leaders committed to restoring what is true, good, and beautiful in women’s athletics.
Through athlete formation, coach education, mentorship, leadership development, and cultural engagement, FIERCE equips women to become fierce in sport, faithful in life, and fearless in purpose.
We are looking for a Director of Advancement to help fuel this mission. This is more than a fundraising role—it is an opportunity to build relationships with people who believe in the future of women’s athletics and invite them to make a significant investment in the mission of FIERCE.
The need is there. The hunger is there. We need to grow so we can meet it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build Relationships: Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects through personal meetings, calls, outreach, cultivation, solicitation, retention and stewardship.
Make the Ask: Develop and execute individualized fundraising strategies and confidently make major-gift asks.
Build the Pipeline: Research, identify, and qualify new prospects and develop them into long-term FIERCE supporters.
Tell the Story: Communicate FIERCE's mission, impact, vision, and opportunities for investment through compelling conversations, proposals, and presentations.
Partner With Leadership: Work closely with the President and senior leadership to cultivate key relationships, prepare for donor meetings, and develop fundraising strategies.
Engage Donors: Support donor cultivation events, fundraising events, and meaningful stewardship experiences.
Manage Campaigns: Manage FIERCE’s End of Year and End of Fiscal Year Campaigns by working with FIERCE Team and Third Party Contractors for Mailings.
Build for Growth: Maintain the donor CRM, track portfolio activity and gifts, and help establish the systems needed for a growing major-gifts program.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Building a strong portfolio of qualified major-gift prospects and donors.
Making approximately 8–12 meaningful fundraising asks each month.
Increasing the number and size of major gifts secured.
Moving prospects through the donor cycle from identification → cultivation → solicitation → stewardship.
Building donors who become deeply invested in FIERCE's mission.
Meeting quarterly and annual fundraising goals.
Helping FIERCE build the resources and chapters necessary to reach more women and transform women's athletics.
Helping FIERCE reach its goal of $1 million budget in the next 3 years.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a relationship-builder, confident communicator, and mission-driven fundraiser who understands that fundraising is ultimately about trust, vision, and inviting people into something they believe in.
You are:
Passionate about women, sport, faith, and the mission of FIERCE.
Experienced in major gifts, individual giving, or nonprofit development (5+ years preferred).
Confident making direct fundraising asks and cultivating high-capacity donors.
Strategic, persistent, highly organized, and excellent at follow-through.
Entrepreneurial and excited to help build something with significant room for growth.
Compelling in communicating vision and impact.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Supportive of the Catholic identity and mission of FIERCE.
Experienced with donor CRM systems and Google Workspace/Microsoft Office.
WHY FIERCE?
Because we believe women's athletics can change the culture.
We believe sport can form women who know who they are, understand their God-given dignity, embrace the beauty of their femininity, and have the courage to live with conviction.
As Major Gifts Officer, you will sit at the intersection of mission, relationships, and resources—helping connect people who want to make a difference with a movement that is already changing lives.
