Paula Scanlan, former Penn swimmer and teammate of Lia Thomas, speaks to Sam about faith, courage, friendships, and what led her to come out as a public advocate. Given her unique and personal experience, she is currently fighting against biological men competing in women’s sports and violating women’s locker room spaces. Unique to this interview, Paula opens up about how she was let down by those in her life, including the Church, and how God brought resurrection to those relationships through her public spotlight. She reminds us, as Catholics, we need to be both educated on this issue, and also have the courage to fight for truth and the dignity of women and women’s sports and privacy. Take a listen, share with your friends and teammates, and join us in the Fight for Women in Sport.
